A Holy Chip! DVD Reminder

Alright, with the boards going down earlier this week I'm extending the dead-line for all of you to get me stuff you want on the DVD of Holy Chip! in. Rather than tomorrow being the due date, it will be Tuesday the 5th of October.

Remember, the thing I wanted from all of you were fimographies, from non-actors pictures and from James director's notes.

So far I only have filmographies from Angela, Brit, Luke, Henry, Chris and Wade.

I only have a picture from Wade.

If I'm missing something from you then it just won't be on the special edition DVD which will have the full film, the alternative cut without the swear word in it, a couple of trailers of various lengths, and a little more. These will be done in time for the Nuntoberfest gathering on October 14th. I'd really appreciate it if any of you could just toss a buck my way to help cover the DVD expenses, they're fairly cheap to buy, but not quite as nice as blank CDs.

Thanks everyone for all your hard work, now we just need to reward the fruits of your labor!

Heh, thanks Andy-Pants.

I want a picture that I will "holy chip"ify (much like the wall-papers) and then your filmography - a list of all of the film you've worked on and what capacity it was. If you had multiple roles, just give me the one you'd most like to be credited with :)

Sorry Kat. I have never even heard of DVD-9's...are you sure that is right? Do some research online otherwise.

DVD9 is, to my understanding, a format of dual sided DVDs. I've never heard of a consumer based product having a DVD9 burner, but I'm sure it's possible.

In the end I think what it might mean is that Kat's DVD drive can read standard dual layered DVDs (like most DVD drives), you know the ones that come from Hollywood and what not. It just may not have any burning capabilities.

To know for sure, why don't you post the make and model of your computer Kat.

i have an hp pavilion. i just burned a dvd wih a regular dvd-r, but when i try to copy a movie dvd (e.g., dodgeball) it says i have to insert a dvd-9... SO weird and frustrating. i think i may just have to rip the dvd onto my computer and then burn those files onto a dvd in order for it to work, but that's just dumb.

any ideas? thanks erik :)

oh. clarification:

the dvd that i just burned was some movie files on my computer onto a reg. dvd-r. that's how i know it works that way, but no luck with commercial dvd copying :(

What program did you use to burn the commericial DVD? Because normally the files on a regular DVD like that are bigger than a normal sized DVD...the errors you encountered could have been related to that and maybe not the type of DVD and such...

i used Sonic, andy... maybe i should try a diff. program, but it keeps on saying to insert a dvd 9. don't really get it. meh.

Yeah, DVD9 allows you to burn what's called a "dual layered" DVD, almost all consumer DVD burners don't do DVD9, and I would guess yours is not different, Kat.

Again, post the make and model of your computer just so we can be sure.

So the burning program you have cannot fit a full length film onto a regular "single layer" DVD, like most. There are programs that can compress films a bit and make commercial DVDs fit on more regularly available DVD-R or DVD+R.

DVD Shrink is very nice, that is what I use to compress those DVDs.

And Erik, she said she has an HP Pavilion.

Even in the most sexually liberated and self-satisfied of nations, many people still yearn to burn more, to feel ready for bedding no matter what the clock says and to desire their partner of 23 years as much as they did when their love was brand new.
The market is saturated with books on how to revive a flagging libido or spice up monotonous sex, and sex therapists say “lack of desire” is one of the most common complaints they hear from patients, particularly women.
